Earlier tonight JDL-Canada (with the participation of the Toronto Zionist Centre) held a candlelight vigil and prayer for the three Jewish students, who were kidnapped last week by Muslim terrorists in Hebron.
The crowd gathered in front of the Israeli Consulate in Toronto, carrying Canadian, Israeli and JDL flags and candles. The event opened with a speech by Meir Weinstein, National Director of JDL-Canada, in which he outlined the security problems that Israel faces and emphasized the difficulties of dealing with the Arabs, whose leadership openly supports terrorism.
He was followed by Renanah Goldhar-Gemeiner, who read a letter from a Member of the Knesset from Hebron. Then a Rabbi read the prayers in Hebrew and English.
The event ended with performance of traditional Israeli songs and singing Hatikvah, Israel’s national anthem.
